The Weekend

Last week, we toddled off to see a silent film, complete with live music.

The theater was massive, and the show had completely sold out.

This story comes to an end, as all good stories do, in a Noodles and Co.

  1. Oh, I love Metropolis... I watched it last year as part of my course. Would have been SO excited to see it with a live orchestra, where was that?

On a side note, the St. Petersburg Metro tokens (little gold coins you use like tickets, Russians call them zhetony [жетоны]) look just like I imagine currency would look in Metropolis!

    Love,

    1. It was in Silver Spring, MD, and the band was called Alloy. It was really cool; they even played along to the film using pots and pans for metallic sound effects!
This is the first time I've seen the newest restored version of Metropolis, and it really helped to complete the film.
