Crumbling Island
At this point, I'm pretty sure that Doc and I vacation differently than other people. The first thing that caught my eye on the way to our beach house was this abandoned water park/go-kart track, and I knew I had to go back and get some photos. It would be an awesome place to visit at night for some creepy adventure. With the ocean on one side and the sound on the other, it looks like an abandoned island of dilapidated amusements.

I have passed that place so many times, but never stopped. I love the pictures!

DeleteTony and I are the same way! Sure, we'll usually do/see a bit of the standard tourist-y offerings in a place, but we adore seeing out off-the-beaten-track places to explore (and sometimes shoot at), too. Most places have many layers to them and finding some that haven't been loved in a while, or at least often enough, seems like a wonderful way to thank that town/city for your time there.
