In the Woods: Walden Pond

"I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude."

Henry David Thoreau

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."

Henry David Thoreau

  1. Such a lovely, peaceful series of images. I've always wanted to take a cross country tour of the US and if I ever do (or if I'm in that neck of the woods in general), Thoreau's cabin has long been a "must see" on my list, too.

    1. It was beautiful, definitely a must see if you're close! I just wish it hadn't been quite so cold so we could have walked around the pond more. They allow swimming in the summer, too, which I would love to do one day!
