The 5 Minute Flapper: Lips

Hi there ladies and gents!  I've been wanting to do some video tutorials for awhile, so I went ahead and put together my first one!  This is the first of three mini-tutorials meant to show you how to transform into a fab flapper of the 1920s, using some simple drugstore makeup.  First up, the enviable 1920s Cupid's bow lip in less than 2 minutes!

Next week:  those brows, baby!

  1. Sooo lovely! I think that 1920s were such a cool decade from a cosmetics standpoint, as it was the first time, in any real way, that the sorts of makeup items we still use and love today became acceptable in mainstream society.

    1. Yes, and the cosmetics that ladies used back then have such a strong visual appeal, like cake mascara or powder puffs! Of course makeup tools and cosmetics soon developed into something more sophisticated for the modern lady. But I love the ingenuity and diversity of makeup looks from that time period; women could do so much with so little in the way of gadgets or even colors.
